Plate & Prompt

About

Who we are, and how we use AI

Who

Plate & Prompt is a small independent project that makes AI prompt kits for food, protein and training. We started it because AI answers about food sound confident even when the numbers are guesses, so every kit shows its sources and the math behind each example.

We are not dietitians or doctors, and we do not give medical advice. What we can do is check numbers carefully and show where they come from.

Where the numbers come from

  • Protein and calories: USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy), with the FDC ID next to each food.
  • Prices: US Bureau of Labor Statistics average prices (U.S. city average), with the month and series.
  • Studies: cited with journal, year and the exact figures we use.
  • Our assumptions: marked as estimates where they appear, for example the edible share of bone-in chicken legs.

If a number on this site or in a kit looks wrong, email aibezstrestu@gmail.com. We check every report against the data and fix real errors.

How we use AI

  • In the kits: the prompts, structure and checks are ours. Example answers were generated with Claude (Anthropic), then we recomputed every protein, calorie and price number in them from USDA and BLS data.
  • On this site: the code was written with help from an AI coding assistant and reviewed by us. The articles were drafted with AI help; every number in them was checked against the sources listed under each article.
  • Pictures: the plate, the food and the charts are drawn in code. No stock photos, no AI-generated people, no fake reviews.
  • What AI does not do here: it does not decide what is true. Sources do.

What we promise, and what we do not

We promise sources, checked arithmetic and a 14-day refund on kits. We do not promise weight loss, muscle gain or any health result. Bodies differ; if you have a medical condition, talk to a professional.
